A really festive, comfortable atmosphere. Their wood fired pizza was amazing. Very easy to tell they put a lot into making it as well, starting with an in-house wood-burning brick pizza oven next to the bar. ”

“ Love this place!! They serve wood-fired pizzas need I say more? The pizzas served here are absolutely delicious and don't let their size full you...their pizza is loaded with lots of fresh toppings! The interior of this place is very cozy and very chic, making it a great place to hang out in a group and take some great photos especially over the holidays. This place is especially well decorated during December in which they host Miracle on King Street. It is absolutely beautiful inside! There is an upstairs area and a downstairs lounge area (perfect for company dinners/parties). During Miracle on King Street the drink menu changes to suit the holidays. The drinks here are both delicious and strong. They also sell vintage style Christmas cups to which I couldn't resist and bought a dinosaur cup. Don't be ashamed to dress in holiday sweaters when visiting in December. Make reservations in advance, the bar area fills up quickly. ”

“ Great Detroit style pizza, the Standard is the best just tomato sauce, mozzarella & parmesan baked to perfection. Friendly staff, very cool place (use to be a bank), view is the capital and nice big booths the acoustics make it hard to hear if you have a large group. Parking ramps nearby otherwise of walking isn't an issue you can usually find street parking a few blocks away. ”

“ Super cute space. Visited Lucille during their Miracle on King St pop up. (Ends 12/24/24). Super fun holiday themed drinks due to the pop up and an explosion of holiday decor. Their menu has a good selection with a variety of salads, pizza, and shareables. Staff was very friendly and they kept us in the loop for example that we were going to have a switch in servers etc. They do note this in their reservations page but it is a two level space. Quite the stairs to go to level two so make sure if anyone in your group needs accessible seating or cannot do stairs well that you request seating on level one. ”

“ I arrived early to meet hubby at the Yelp event, and parked at the bar to warm up after walking from campus. The "Miracle on King" decor is super fun. The quantity of ornaments and lights was huge. The seasonal collection of cocktail glasses in use is amazing. The sole bartender was super busy, and I got to watch him make some fairly complex drinks. He acknowledged me and apologized for the wait. It really wasn't that long... The drink, a cranberry daiquiri, was excellent. Thank you for the friendly service, the wonderful cocktail, and the entertainment of your cocktail making. ”

“ Located on the Capitol Square area of downtown Madison Wisconsin, Lucille serves up a really good version of Detroit style pizza We first visited Lucille shortly after it opened, and at the beginning of the Detroit style pizza craze a while back. On this stop, we dropped in for Saturday lunch after visiting the Saturday farmer's market. We had a furry friend with the four of us, so needed a restaurant that had a shaded, outdoor patio that allowed dogs, which Lucille does. We got on the waitlist, quoted a 20 minute wait, and was seated before then. Service was fine throughout. It's a smaller menu, with two types of pizza available: wood-fired (Neopolitan) and steel-pan (Detroit). Both only come in one size, with the steel-pan ($33) having 8 pieces (enough to feed 3-4). We didn't like any of the specials, so just went with Build-your-own: ordered pepperoni and sausage (replaced by bacon...not sure what happened there). The pizza uses Mozzarella instead of Wisconsin Brick, and the toppings were quality. Delicious pizza, and easy to bring back to the hotel. An order of chips and salsa ($6) had good, well made salsa though the chips were a bit stale (probably because of the humid air). Two white rascals were good (had many of those in california) for $7. The fat orange cat kittens draft was good, but costly at $12 because of sourcing costs. Paying was easy directly at the table using Toast. ”

“ Great location, atmosphere, and pizza. We started with the nachos and guacamole. Portions were huge!! I loved that the guac came with Jicama and celery, I wish it was a little spicier. Nachos had the perfect ratio of toppings/cheese. They also were very big, and we ordered small. Tried the weekly special pizza and deep dish. I love that Lucille always has unique pizza options. If you don't want pizza, there are other entrees, like rice bowls. I tried the Bodega bowl and was really surprised - since they're known for their pizza. Service and atmosphere were great! We sat upstairs and it was so fun, very large open space with an industrial chic vibe. I will say we ordered everything at once, but the guac and bowl came out first, then a pizza, then nachos, and the final pizza. I wish the timing could have been a little better. Otherwise service was very fast! ”
